- Easy Greek Pizza Recipe
Ready to do something different than the standard pepperoni and mozz when it comes to pizza night? You can’t go wrong by veering a little east from Italy to Greece.
This EasyGreekPizza, packed with Greek flavors from the herbs, spinach, and feta cheeseis a fabulous taste treat, one that I’ve made dozens of times — and even convinced some of my picky children to love as well.
This Greek Pizza is simple and affordable, yet packed with flavor. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how tasty spinach on a pizza is!For the carnivores among you, you could easily add grilled chicken or steak.
Either way, it’s a fabulous meal and perfect for Meatless Mondays or your next Pizza Night.
Why Make This
It’s delicious. What makes this homemade Greek Pizza is the spinach and feta cheese. I embellish it with extra vegetables for a little heft. It’s meatlesswhile still being hearty. The tang of the cheese and the sweetness of the sauce play well with the woodsy mushrooms and fresh spinach flavor.
It’s easy. Whether you make a homemade pizza dough or buy a store bought pizza crust, this Greek Pizza comes together in minutes! The toppings are simple to prep and fuss-free to assemble.
Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make our Easy Greek Pizza Recipe:
pizza dough – We have more than one homemade pizza dough recipe for you to try here on Good Cheap Eats, but you can also use a store bought pizza dough or even a prebaked base like a tortilla, french bread, or pita bread.
tomato sauce – I like to spread canned tomato sauce on the crust, but you can also use extra virgin olive oil or your favorite pizza sauce. Since I’m going to add seasoning, I don’t worrk about the latter. Don’t forget to freeze tomato sauce if you’ve got extra.
Greek seasoning – I use my homemade Greek Spice Blend, but you can use a commercial blend or even just a ½ teaspoon dried oregano if that’s what you have.
veggies – I like to layerbaby spinach, sliced mushrooms, and seeded, chopped tomatoes. Check the variations below for other good veggies to add.
cheese – Both crumbledfeta cheese andshredded mozzarella cheese are great on this Greek Pizza. Remember you can freeze cheese if you’ve got lots leftover.
